Marketing team independent
Tools
HubSpot CMS, HubL, HubDB
Technix Infotech built a complete blog and resources platform on HubSpot CMS for an AI fintech startup, enabling the marketing team to publish content independently using HubDB powered dynamic sections, custom modules, and branded templates.
The Challenge
The fintech startup had no content platform. Blog posts were published on Medium, which provided no SEO value to their domain and no lead capture capability.
The marketing team needed to publish, categorize, and promote content without developer help.
Blog posts on the company's own domain. All content was on Medium, giving zero SEO benefit and no lead capture.
Why This Was Not a Standard Project
HubSpot CMS's blog system is powerful but requires custom development for fintech-specific features like regulatory disclaimers, dynamic resource libraries, and gated content.
The design needed to match the startup's modern AI aesthetic while being simple enough for a non-technical marketing team to operate.
Technix used HubDB (HubSpot's serverless database) to power dynamic resource library pages where the marketing team could add, categorize, and feature content by editing a spreadsheet-like interface rather than touching code.
What We Did
Design and Architecture
Week 1Designed blog layout, resource library, and category system. Created wireframes matching the fintech brand.
CMS Development
Week 2-3Built custom blog template, resource library with HubDB, custom modules for CTAs, author bios, and regulatory disclaimers.
Training and Launch
Week 3-4Trained marketing team on content publishing workflow. Launched with 5 migrated blog posts from Medium.

The Technical Deep Dive
The HubDB powered resource library was the most complex component. Each resource entry in HubDB contained: title, description, category, content type (blog/whitepaper/video), featured image, CTA type, and gating requirement.
The template dynamically rendered these entries with appropriate styling, filtering by category, and conditional gating based on the HubDB field values.
The marketing team published their first independent blog post within 1 week of training. Within the first month, they published 8 posts without any developer assistance, establishing the content cadence needed for SEO.
The Results
| Metric | Before | After |

| Lead Capture | None from content | Gated resources with forms |

What We Learned
01
Own your content platform
Publishing on Medium gives zero SEO value to your domain. HubSpot CMS captures the authority on your own site.
02
HubDB enables non-technical editing
Spreadsheet-like database editing is far more accessible for marketing teams than CMS page editors.
03
Independence beats complexity
A simpler system the team actually uses beats a complex one that requires developer help for every change.
